MAN BADLY INJURED

A pedestrian has suffered very serious injuries after he was in collision with a car in Stoke on Trent last night (Monday).

 

The collision happened near the Brook House Filling Station, The Green in Cheadle at just before 9.30pm.

An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, an incident support officer and two BASICS Emergency Doctors were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When crews arrived, they found a man with very serious injuries.  The car had also suffered significant damage.

“The man, who was approximately 20, had a significant head injury and was semi conscious.  He also had multiple fractures.

“The doctors anaesthetised the man at the scene.  His condition was stabilised and he was then taken on blue lights to University Hospital North Staffordshire with one of the doctors travelling with the crew.

“He was due to undergo surgery last night.”
