North Staffordshire BASICS is a registered charity that
provides the West Midlands Ambulance Service with
volunteer doctors for medical emergencies in the North
Staffordshire Locality.
We work alongside paramedic crews to provide support
and skills that are normally only available within hospitals.
We provide 24 hour cover 365 days a year and are called
to over 250 jobs each year, ranging from road traffic
collisions, train and plane crashes to shootings and
stabbings.
All of our members are part of the British Association of
Immediate Care Specialists and are registered practitioners.
This website aims to highlight the work we do, both
“on scene and off scene” and encourage new members
to become involved. Whether it is lay people to help run
the charity and fund raise or qualified medical
practitioners wishing to attend our teaching sessions or
become more involved in Pre-Hospital Care.
